Why are we called “Viking”?

Viking Canal Boats construction yard is based in the town of Wolin, where the ancient fort of Vineta was situated. This village was for a long time home to explorers, warriors, merchants and pirates called the Vikings.

The historical heritage of the area has inspired the adopted name of “Viking” for our canal boats, as naturally being the strongest and clearest idea as a name for our company. With the Viking name we guarantee that our canal boats, each one distinctly decorated with a dragon head, will proudly serve our clients as the Viking’s long boats served them.
